Allyson Biegeleisen, Vice President of Client Services
Allyson is a member of the founding team at Commongood Careers. As Vice President, Allyson oversees all client engagements and manages the search team. During her tenure, she has led over 120 searches, at all levels of the organization chart, with clients such as Breakthrough Collaborative, DonorsChoose.org, New Profit, iMentor, and the Center for Effective Philanthropy. Drawing upon her expertise in organizational structure and development, Allyson managed multiple engagements with KIPP’s growing network of charter schools, leading searches for KIPP Foundation, KIPP NYC, KIPP Massachusetts, KIPP Delta, KIPP Metro Atlanta, KIPP Dallas, and KIPP Tulsa. Allyson’s earlier work experience includes roles at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and Families First, a nonprofit organization that provides parenting education workshops and trainings. Allyson holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Vermont and an MBA with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Suffolk University. She recently served as a National Board Member for Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN), the nation’s largest network of emerging nonprofit talent.
Evan Carper, Recruitment Manager
With past experience in youth development and education programs, Evan brings a strong customer service orientation and mission-connection to his role at Commongood Careers. Previously, Evan served as an admissions manager at City Year Boston where he oversaw the selection of 265 corps members from a pool of over one-thousand applicants, provided training in AmeriCorps interview protocols and hiring processes, and was selected by the national organization to help develop nation-wide customer service initiatives for all 23 US-based sites. His earlier work experience includes serving on the account team at TeenLife, an information resource for middle school and high school enrichment programs, and as a fundraiser at Denison University. He holds a B.A. in Corporate Systems from Boston College and is a City Year corps member alum.
Presceia Cooper, Search Consultant
Presceia has played a variety of roles at Commongood Careers and currently serves as a Search Consultant. Previously, she was a member of the recruitment team, where she led diversity recruitment efforts with affinity groups and fellowship programs such as the National Urban League and Associated Grant Makers. Presceia also created candidate pipelines through social media channels which resulted in growing our networks on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to many thousands of members. In addition to her experience at Commongood Careers, Presceia earned a Certificate in Culinary Arts from Boston University and has worked as a professional chef and restaurant manager. Leveraging this training, Presceia created a cooking and nutrition program to teach elementary school students healthy cooking techniques, as well as volunteers with Future Chefs, a nonprofit organization that prepares urban teens for work in the restaurant industry. Presceia holds a BA in Communications from Boston College.
Sara D'Alessandro, Search Consultant
Through her previous roles with the Education Innovation Laboratory at Harvard University, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Lawrence Public Schools, Sara has had the privilege of working on multiple collaborative and impactful teams. She brings over a decade of experience in public education reform, and has played multiple roles from teacher, to researcher, to district administrator and teacher recruiter. Her most recent work in Lawrence Public Schools gave her the opportunity to work closely with teachers, school leaders, and district administrators to implement a whole-district turnaround effort. She brings her belief in the power of mission-driven organizations to drive social change to her work as a Search Consultant with Commongood Careers. Sara holds a B.A cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross and an Ed.M. in Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Ramon De Jesus, Search Consultant
Possessing a firm belief in the power of education as a tool for social mobility, Ramon brings seven years of experience serving first-generation and low income students in their pursuit of a post-secondary education. Through his previous roles at Steps to Success, the KIPP NYC College Prep High School, and Columbia University, Ramon has developed an appreciation for how individuals fit into organizational cultures. He brings his knowledge of youth and family programs, passion for assessment, and belief in the non-profit community to his work as a Search Consultant. Originally from the Bronx, NY, Ramon is a Posse Foundation alumni, holding a B.A. from Brandeis University and also a graduate of the Boston College Lynch School of Education, from which he holds an M.A. in Higher Education.
Kevin Flynn, Vice President of Recruitment and Candidate Services
In his current role as Vice President of Recruitment and Candidate Services, Kevin builds talent pipelines and supports the recruitment needs of all of our search engagements. In this capacity, Kevin has dramatically increased the utilization and diversification of Commongood Careers’ networks, resulting in significantly more hires from our networks and higher rates of diversity hiring. Having served as a search consultant, career advisor, and director of recruiting, Kevin brings a deep understanding of recruiting and hiring both from the organizational and candidate perspective. He has presented on the topic of human capital in the nonprofit sector at universities including MIT, Harvard, Yale and Boston University, and at the national conferences of KIPP Schools, Independent Sector and Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy. Kevin joined Commongood Careers in 2006 as a Search Consultant and in that capacity, he has led over 100 searches, including multiple engagements with College Summit, Public Allies, BUILD, and Playworks. After graduating from Boston College, Kevin began his career working with high-risk and gang-involved youth in cities throughout the country. He is a founding board member of the Boston Chapter of Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) and in 2011 was selected as an Independent Sector American Express NGen Fellow.
Kirstin Griffiths, Search Consultant
As a Search Consultant on the client services team, Kirstin supports all aspects of our search engagements, including building strong candidate pools, screening and assessing candidates, and preparing reports. She brings exceptional organizational and analytical skills to this role. Previously, she served as Program Coordinator at Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts-Boston, where she launched new initiatives for tutor and student engagement, developed an education and career advising strategy, and supported over 250 tutor/student pairs. Kirstin is an active volunteer in the community, as a literacy tutor and a member of a tutor advisory group at Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts-Boston. Kirstin holds a BA in English from Skidmore College, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Periclean Honor Society.
Neha Kale, Search Consultant
A firm believer in the power of talent to foster organizational success, Neha brings a combination of systems thinking, project management, talent experience and operational leadership to her role as Search Consultant. Prior to Commongood Careers, Neha worked with Achievement First, a high-performing charter school network, leading the recruitment operations team as the organization scaled and iterated its talent strategy, systems and processes. Born and raised in India for most of her childhood, Neha has spent her professional career in several different roles across various sectors. This includes working with an alternative energy social enterprise in Bihar, India as an Acumen Global Fellow, working as a consultant at Amplify, and as a strategic marketing analyst with General Motors across multiple continents. She holds a B.S. in marketing and management from Purdue University and an MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University with a certificate in social entrepreneurship from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University.
Jessica Mah, Recruitment Manager
As a Recruitment Manager Jessica has the privilege of cultivating relationships with professionals that are passionate about the social impact space and connecting them to high-impact nonprofit organizations. Jessica’s commitment to the nonprofit sector has been a driver throughout her career as she previously was an Associate Search Consultant with Commongood and prior to that she served as New Site Development Manager at City Year. With a passion for national service and community engagement, she previously served two years as an AmeriCorps member with City Year Boston and continues to volunteer within her community. Originally from California, Jessica earned a dual B.A. in Psychology & Social Behavior and Criminology, Law & Society from the University of California, Irvine where she graduated Cum Laude.
Freddie Montgomery, Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator
Freddie comes to Commongood Careers with a passion for education and social change. As the Recruitment & Marketing Coordinator, Freddie collaborates with the search and recruitment teams to build strong candidate pools for our clients and manages advertisement operations, social media outreach, and Commongood Careers' monthly newsletter. Before coming to Commongood Careers, Freddie served with City Year as an AmeriCorps member and team leader at Pine Villa Elementary, a Title I school located in Miami, FL. In this role, he was recognized as City Year's Tere Blanca Entrepreneur of the Year for his commitment to teaching and mentoring alongside his marketing contributions to the non-profit's #makebetterhappen campaign. Graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Freddie holds a B.A. in Political Science with minors in History and Social & Economic Justice, and is also a member of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network’s (YNPN) leadership team in Boston.
Kasey Nupp, Director of Business Operations
Kasey plays a dynamic role at Commongood Careers, managing business operations including finance and technology as well as projects related to business development and marketing. Kasey is a key player in all of our events and led the execution of “Uncommon Conversations,” a convening of over 200 nonprofit leaders hosted by Commongood Careers. With a strong background in systems development, Kasey is responsible for the design and maintenance of a number of our internal systems, including our SalesForce database and our applicant tracking system. Prior to joining Commongood Careers, Kasey taught English in Spain and held an internship with Organization for New Equality. Kasey holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Merrimack College.
Cynthia Rodriguez, Recruitment Manager
Cynthia’s passion for non-profits stems back to her undergrad years when she was involved with various social justice and identity groups on campus. During her summers she interned with youth development organizations such as Crossroads for Kids and Thompson Island Outward Bound. As a Posse Scholar, Cynthia understood the need for the access of quality education for all students and moved to Washington, D.C. where she was the founding Upper School Social Studies teacher at KIPP DC: Heights Academy. Wanting to expand her reach in nonprofit work, Cynthia came to Commongood Careers where she is now a part of the Recruitment Team. Cynthia holds a B.A. in Sociology from Hamilton College and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from American University.
Cassie Scarano, CEO and Co-Founder
Cassie provides strategic vision and daily management for the entire organization. As CEO and Co-Founder, Cassie led the development of our search model and continues to ensure the quality of our service delivery today. With deep experience in nonprofit management and hiring, Cassie has personally managed over 80 searches for clients such as Jumpstart, Nonprofit Finance Fund, New Profit, Year Up, and Peer Health Exchange. Cassie has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and has served as the Dean of Admissions at The Steppingstone Foundation, where she increased the efficiency and effectiveness of the student admissions process. Her earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Operations at The New Teacher Project’s Massachusetts Institute for New Teachers (MINT), and Director of Summerbridge Cambridge, where she led the organization during expansion to a new site which allowed the organization to serve 40% more students. Cassie is a former Board member of Breakthrough Cambridge, where she served as co-chair of the governance committee and member of the expansion committee, and an alum of LeadBoston. She holds a BA in Sociology from Northwestern University, an MA in Education from Boston University and an MBA in Nonprofit Management from Boston University.
Emily Scichilone, Associate Search Consultant
As an Associate Search Consultant, Emily collaborates with senior organizational leaders on search engagements by building strong candidate pools, screening and assessing candidates, preparing internal and external analytical reports and supporting various special projects. Prior to joining Commongood Careers, Emily served as the graduate intern for the Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative, a MA state funded program committed to supporting access to higher education for students with intellectual disabilities. Her earlier work experience includes collaborating with the National Brain Tumor Society’s Public Policy team to coordinate and attend the organization’s largest advocacy day in Washington D.C., and also holding a role as part of the Child Protection Services unit at the Department of Children and Families in St. Albans, Vermont. She holds a BS in Social Work and a minor in Political Science from the University of Vermont, as well as a MSW from Boston College with a focus in nonprofit management and social innovation.
Amanda Sonis Glynn, Career Advisor
Amanda Sonis Glynn is a Career Advisor with Commongood Careers and a Connector with Jewish Family Network. Previously, she taught Sociology of Law and Future Philanthropists at Tufts University and worked as a seasonal career advisor with Harvard Law School’s Office of Public Interest Advising. Amanda has worked as a consultant, co-writing a curriculum on philanthropy for Tufts Hillel and developing a post-graduate public interest fellowship for Harvard College. She has also served as Director of the Harvard Public Service Network, providing guidance and support to more than 50 student-led public service programs, and of the Center for Public Interest Careers (CPIC), a program that assists Harvard College students in finding and funding summer and post-graduate positions in public interest organizations around the country. Amanda worked closely with university, alumni/ae and community partners to develop fellowships, internships, networks, and opportunities for personal and professional development. She was also the Sexual Harassment Hearing Officer for Harvard College. Prior to her work at Harvard College, Amanda served as a Skadden Fellow and staff attorney at the Medical-Legal Partnership (formerly called the Family Advocacy Program) at Boston Medical Center, focusing on the civil legal needs of patients in the hospital’s Adolescent Center. She currently serves on the board of Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, Massachusetts. Amanda graduated from Tufts University with a major in Sociology and is a 2003 graduate of Harvard Law School.
Rita Tran, Associate Director, Recruitment Strategy
Rita brings five years in recruitment and boundless energy to her role at Commongood Careers. She previously served as the U.S. Recruiting and University Relations Manager for Teach For China, where she recruited and selected over 70 fellows annually, as well as helped lead the expansion of the program to the Bay Area and Texas. Rita’s prior work experience includes roles at the Posse Foundation, Accepted College Preparatory Program, and the admissions department of Hamilton College’s China study abroad program. She currently serves on the Posse National Alumni Advisory Council and Posse Boston Advisory Board, and she is also a member of Hamilton College’s Multicultural Alumni Relations Committee. Rita holds a BA from Hamilton College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude.
Loc Truong, Senior Career Advisor
Loc Truong has more than 15 years of experience working in a variety of educational settings, including K-12 public schools, nonprofit, and higher education. Loc is currently the Assistant Director of the Harvard Foundation at Harvard University working to promote diversity and race relations at Harvard. In his previous position as Assistant Director of Employer Relations at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Loc worked to connect employers with Harvard students. He also worked closely with graduate students and alumni, guiding them in their job searches. He has been a career advisor for over seven years, including three years with Commongood Careers. He is currently on the Board of Directors for a community development corporation called Viet-AID. Hailing from California, Loc received his M.S. degree in school counseling at University of La Verne and his B.S. degree in biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
